Leonard A. Orman, Esq.
Leonard A. Orman graduated from the University of
Maryland School of Law and has been in active practice both regionally and
nationally. His law school honors
include being awarded Order of the Coif
and selection for the Editorial Board of the Maryland Law Review. After
completion of law school he served as law clerk for Frederick W. Brune,
Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals. He was later appointed to the
Maryland Legislative Reference Department and worked with the legislators in
the creation of bills to be submitted to the Maryland Legislature. He also
served on the Governor’s Commission to revise the Maryland Criminal Code.
Mr. Orman is admitted to practice before the United
States Supreme Court, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the
United States Court of Claims, the Maryland Court of Appeals and all courts
in the State of Maryland as well as the District of Columbia Court of
Appeals.
He has served as President of the Maryland Trial
Lawyers Association, is a Governor of the Association of Trial Lawyers of
America (ATLA), has served for several terms on the executive committee of
ATLA and has been chair of many of the major committees of ATLA.. Len is
board certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial
Advocacy and is a fellow and trustee of the Roscoe Pound Institute. He is a
three time recipient of the prestigious Wideman Wysocki Citation of
Excellence Award
Mr. Orman has been listed in numerous Who’s Who directories
and enjoys an “AV” rating in his Martindale Hubbell listing. He has been a
lecturer on trial tactics and medical legal topics for various law schools
and trial lawyer associations including ATLA, MTLA, Maryland Institute for
Continuing Professional Educations of Lawyers and the Belli Seminars.
Mr. Orman’s practice includes serious auto torts,
aviation, medical malpractice, product liability, insurance bad faith, and
class actions.
